Communications Manager

Role Summary:
What good is an awesome company if nobody knows about it? We are looking for a self-motivated and talented communications manager who will oversee and execute internal and external communications for inKind, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging, and gets us to the point of everyone knowing about inKind! In this position, you will be in charge of producing high-quality content that intrigues customers, informs restaurateurs, and builds brand recognition for inKind. Your main duties will also include creating press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share inKind's brand, products, and services. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.

Please note, this role is required to be in office Monday-Friday and abide by our COVID19 safety plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build loyalty, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare detailed media activity reports
  • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of marketing materials
  • Work with the marketing department to generate new ideas and strategies
  • Supervise projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready
  • Help create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions
  • Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner
  • Work with the founders to understand how the company came to be, why we do what we do and be able to convey that to media outlets, bloggers and hospitality professionals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • A confident communicator and presenter
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Superior project management and time management skills
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
  • Self motivated with a positive and professional approach to management

Salary
$90k-$105k DOE
