Underwriting Analyst

Role Summary:
An Underwriting Analyst is responsible for evaluating potential restaurant partners to determine the degree of risk associated with funding their restaurants or groups. The Underwriting Analyst works directly with the Chief Risk Officer to determine the proper amount of funding to distribute to restaurant groups.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine potential restaurant partner information regarding income and growth strategy in order to determine the funding amount, if any at all
  • Assists the Chief Risk Officer during the underwriting process by requesting, collecting, managing required documentation
  • Presents the full analysis of the potential underwriting target to Senior Sales leadership and the Chief Risk Officer for review
  • Performs basic financial analysis, such as cash flow and collateral analysis
  • Researches/respond to internal/external questions and inquiries

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, economics, or a finance-related field
  • 2+ years of financial analysis/due diligence experience.
  • FinTech experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent financial modeling ability
  • Experience with SQL, VBA, Tableau a plus
